Dr. Gurule graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder just outside of Louisville, Colorado, with double bachelors’ degrees in Integrative Physiology and Psychology. She the continued her studies to be a chiropractor and graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West Campus as summa cum laude.
While in school, Nichelle had the wonderful opportunity to treat as an intern at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She discovered how essential chiropractic care was in an integrative setting while treating and serving our Wounded Warriors coming home from deployment. Being involved with the National Military Hospital, Dr. Gurule was also fortunate enough to serve and treat the United States Naval Academy Football Team.
In the beginning stages of her career she worked in a sports therapy clinic in the bay area, allowing her to treat a variety of people and conditions. While she still is passionate treating athletes and sports injuries, her greatest passion is within women’s health.
Dr. Nichelle has become specialized in postpartum chiropractic care and postpartum rehab with an emphasis on rebuilding the core (top, bottom, front and back). She really enjoys getting women to safely return back to fitness in their postpartum body. She and her husband wanted to bring their passion for health and fitness to the families of Louisville, Colorado, and be the trusted neighborhood chiropractor near by.
Dr. Gurule loves motivating people to see their potential and helping them work towards their personal goals. She utilizes various treatment methods that are uniquely geared to provide each patient with the best method to maximize his or her potential. Being a chiropractor and appreciating the complexity of the human body, she recognizes the need to care for each patient as an individual.
Dr. Nichelle has received a number of certifications and special training that includes: Postnatal Fitness Specialist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Selective Functional Movement Assessment training, Graston Technique®, FMT I and II Rocktape Certification, Active Release Technique® (trained 2011), Webster Technique Certified, along with completing courses specializing in Lumbar MRI for Clinical Practice and Lumbar Disc Herniation Management. She is always learning and continuing to get certifications to have the most up to date knowledge for her patients.
She is always keeping her knowledge up to date as a chiropractor for her patients through certifications, seminars, webinars, readings, and more.
As a Colorado native, Nichelle loves spending time outdoors and leading an active lifestyle. She has competed in a number of athletic events that include: a 70.3 Ironman, half marathons, 10Ks, 5Ks, Tough Mudders, and the Girls Gone Rx CrossFit Competition. In her free time she enjoys CrossFit, hiking, bike riding, rock climbing, and going on daily walks with her husband, son, and dog, along with strolling Main Street Louisville, Colorado with a local ice coffee.
